Gomez’s Story by Anna USA

I adopted an FIV + kitty last summer. I am a college student who has never had a cat before. The rescue promises that he would be easy to take care of and after doing research, everything said I could take care of him with the right food and care. Unfortunately he came to me with an ear infection, mouth infection, kidney and liver issues, facial scabs, his fur was falling out, and he became incontinent. We later found out he was having seizures. I was a first time cat owner and had no idea what I was doing. I spent all my savings taking Gomez to the vet and trying my best to take care of him, but unfortunately he suffered from a massive seizure. I miss him every day. I was unprepared and lied to by the shelter saying he was healthy. He was my first cat and I really really miss him.
